What to Watch in Women’s Sports | Week of 4/27/26
We have another stacked week of women’s sports, including the debut of two new teams in the WNBA.
In the NWSL the Washington Spirit are riding high after a dominant 4–0 win where we met “Churro”, a plastic coyote that’s become the team’s good luck charm. Let’s hope Churro can help keep Washington’s win streak alive against Racing Louisville and Orlando Pride this week.
In the volleyball world, MLV hits a pivotal stretch as the Indy Ignite lock the top seed and the Dallas Pulse clinch a playoff spot, leaving just a few postseason spots still up for grabs.
And finally, this week in the WNBA we’ll see Angel Reese debut with the Atlanta Dream against her former team, the Chicago Sky. We’ll also get to see the No. 1 pick Azzi Fudd and expansion teams, the Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo, take the court for the first time.
